『前面有樂』成立於2019年，兩名成員 陳君明 及 洪樂曦 均從事音樂行業。
二人於 2019 年頭合作製作由陳氏執導的無伴奏合唱紀錄片《天水圍唱》而認識，由洪氏擔任該片的音樂製作人。同年因二人均熱愛無伴奏音樂而成立 『前面有樂』，為香港首隊二人無伴奏合唱組合，致力用人聲加上不同的音樂和影像元素分享故事。最近推出了由翻唱及製作的 “How Deep is Your Love”音樂錄片，並獲得網民熱烈反應。『前面有樂』計劃於 2020 年推全新出原創歌曲。
C M Y L was formed by two young Hong Kong musicians, Kessay Chan and Ivy Hung, in 2019.
Chan, a one-man a cappella artist and educator in Hong Kong, has participated in and won numerous local and overseas performing art related competitions. Some of the awards he has received are: Champion of Loopstation Category, at the a cappella Championships (Singapore) 2018 and 2019, and the Top Ten Youth Artist 2019 from HK Playground Association. Hung is an up-and-rising music producer and a cappella artist from Hong Kong. She has appeared on the local music scene as a composer, arranger as well as music albums’ and concerts’ production assistant. Artists she has worked with include Joey Yung, Hins Cheung, Chet Lam, Jason Chan, etc.
Chan and Hung met in early 2019 when the two worked together for “Wai Sing”, an a cappella documentary directed by Chan; Hung was the music producer for the documentary. Sharing the same passion, the two formed the first a cappella duo in Hong Kong, CMYL. They hope to connect and share their stories with their voices, as well as other musical and visual elements. The duo has recently released a self-produced music video, covering “How Deep is Your Love” by Bee Gees and has received applauses on various social media platforms. The duo is now planning to release their originals in 2020.
In the past year, CMYL has participated in different live performances, such as the “Wander in To Kwa Wan” hosted by the Community Record Company. In February 2020, the duo was invited by the Hong Kong Association of Northern California to San Francisco, US to perform and share their music.
As a music educator himself, he realized that personal quality development can be achievement through music training, and thus, teenagers can have a holistic learning experience and build up their self-esteems. He initiated “天水圍唱Wai Sing” in 2019 to discover the growth of youngsters in long term A cappella training in the form of a documentary movie, and hence carry out A cappella training program for the less privileged students in schools and communities like Tin Shui Wai and Lantau Island.
Kessay is keens on discovering the possibilities of different music performances. He is known as one of the pioneers in who uses loopstation for live performances in Hong Kong. In June 2019, Kessay released his self-financed documentary project “Wai Sing” to show the lives of a cappella students in Tin Shui Wai, in order to promote a cappella music and community arts.
Winning the title of “Top 10 Young Artists 2019” in Hong Kong and being invited to share his A cappella experience in TEDx event, Kessay is an active A cappella artist in Hong Kong. He believes music is abstract, yet it is the best way to evoke one’s emotions, while our voices are the most direct and pure tools to create music.
Kessay is a 2-time Champion in Loopstation category of “A cappella Championship”, an international A cappella competition held in Singapore. As a pianist, bass and drum set player, he puts his inspirations from these music-making experiences into the vocal art, A cappella. Besides being a solo artist, Kessay founded a professional A cappella group, VSing, in 2016, in hopes of bringing quality vocal music into the society. He and his teams performed in corporate events in HK and governmental occasions overseas, in places including Dubai, Serbia, so on.
He is keen on discovering unique ways in delivering music ideas in live performances and online. He is also a videographer and sound engineer so he can present and execute his ideas comprehensively. In order to contribute to the Hong Kong A cappella circle, he now directs and shoots music videos for local teams, and does live concert mixing as well as music production for groups.
Kessay started his music journey in his secondary school years, when he formed his A cappella team, Infiniter, in school. They won the champion in local A cappella competition and was further invited to compete in World Contemporary A cappella Competition held in Taiwan and won a bronze medal. In his final year of school, he won the title of Student of the Year in Performing Artist organized by SCMP. With his achievement, he was granted a full scholarship by the Home Affair Bureau in pursuit of his study in the Music Department in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Ivy Hung is a music producer, composer and singer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Composition from University of California, San Diego and Master of Arts Degree in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
After returning to Hong Kong in 2016, She immediately started working at Hong Kong renowned composer, Yin Ng’s, Music Production Company. Artists that she has worked with include Hins Cheung, Chet Lam, Joey Yung, Lowell Lo, Alison Lau, Eman Lam, and SIS etc. Besides assisting in different music production projects, she has composed and arranged for different organizations such as the MYO x Chet Lam “Son of Kowloon Music Journey”, ICC Light and Music Show, TVB Caritas Star Studded Charity Show and Alan, “Legacy of Music” & Becky Dance Academy.
Previously a resident member of a professional a cappella group in Hong Kong, VSing. She has performed with the group at various large-scaled events such as 2018 Guangzhou New Year’s Gala, 2018 Jason Chan Not Alone Live Concert and the Shanghai Hong Kong Association 3th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony. In January 2020, VSing appeared in their concert “Take A Bow: A Cappella” next January at the Kwai Tsing Theatre Auditorium, as part of the “Music Delight” Series, presented by the Cultural Presentations Section of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Recently, Ivy also has participated in jingle singing. One of her representative works is the theme song of AIA’s “Love is in Every Moment” Episode 3 and the Hong Kong International Airport “Wish You a Happy Christmas” jingle. In addition, she is also active in singing teaching. Last year, she was the lead singing coach for the True Light Girls’ College 45th Anniversary Musical “Casting”, which she coached a cast of 40 actresses.
